Vision

The UN Sustainable Development Goals

Goal 4: Quality Education
Providing access to inclusive education has always been a core focus for JWOC, helping our students improve their quality of life and equipping them with the tools they need to contribute to the sustainable development of Cambodia. Our Scholarship Program provides students with the financial support they need to attend University, which they would not have been able to otherwise afford. Our Better Futures program helps high school students stay in school and gives graduates the confidence to take their next steps.

Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
We provide all of our students with life skills and career guidance workshops, giving youth the skills and confidence they need to fight for their rights. We partner with responsible employers to provide work experience and personal development opportunities. Finally, our Youth Leadership Program gives our students an opportunity to experience project management, developing the skills, innovation and creativity they need to pursue their entrepreneurial goals.

Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
All of our students have a passion for pursuing education and giving back to their communities, but lack the financial support and additional skills needed to become active citizens. By providing them with access to tertiary education, we are reducing inequalities and giving them a platform to create solutions to address the challenges that are faced by youth in Cambodia. We also improve the financial literacy of our students, so that they can manage their income and expenses independently.
Our History

In 2005, JWOC founders Brandon and Andrea Ross moved to Cambodia from the United States to set up a boutique hotel. Observing the needs of the population, and the desire of travelers to provide support, they saw an opportunity to work as an intermediary between them. Years later JWOC has become more than they ever dreamed possible.
We have learned that focusing on education is where we can make the greatest difference in helping Cambodian youth to better their future and become leaders in their community. With over 15 years of experience in the sector, JWOC is proud to be at the fore-front of youth issues in Siem Reap.
