Konthea Mean
Managing Director
With the purpose of self-development, a desire to learn and wanting to help communities in Cambodia, Konthea joined the JWOC team in 2013. She now oversees all of our programs, building the capacities of our staff to reach our mission. Konthea holds a Bachelor of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Meanchey University.
Keisha Gani
Development Director
Keisha’s main role is to support our relationships with donors and partners, and to contribute to the development of JWOC as a key organization working with youth in Cambodia. She is passionate about human rights and empowering young people to become socially responsible and politically engaged citizens. Keisha graduated with an MSc in Health Policy and an MA in Social Policy and Politics from the University of Edinburgh.
Chamnan Phang Rasmey
Administration and Finance Officer
Chamnan is responsible for JWOC’s day-to-day operations. She joined JWOC in 2019 as it reminded her of her past where it was hard to find support for her studies. She is excited to be a part of JWOC to help Cambodian youth to grow by providing scholarships and personal development opportunities. Chamnan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Management of Phnom Penh.
Somnang Phalla
Donor Relations Officer
Somnang is responsible for building relationships with JWOC’s donors and supporters to demonstrate the impact of our work, ensuring their continued support of our programs. She has experience in communications and fundraising within the NGO sector, and is looking forward to an opportunity to continue learning and growing. Somnang completed her degree in Banking & Finance from Build Bright University in 2013.
Dane Ros
Employment & Wellbeing Coordinator
Dane is responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of our Scholarship and Better Futures programs regarding students’ career progression, performance within JWOC’s programs and their wellbeing. Working at JWOC is an opportunity to keep enabling her motivation and passion to empower youths, equipping them with the skills and sufficient capacity for future employability, while supporting them to become social/community change makers. Dane graduated with a major in International Relations from the Royal University of Law and Economics of Phnom Penh in 2019.
Kea Eng
Youth Leadership Project Coordinator
Kea graduated from the JWOC Scholarship Program in 2015, completing a Bachelor of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. He became a JWOC staff member soon after, and is now responsible for JWOC’s Youth Leadership Program, giving our students opportunities to learn about project management and develop their own solutions to address issues that youth in Cambodia currently face.
Oukdom Doeum
Better Futures Program Officer
Oukdom is responsible for implementing and ensuring the successful recruitment, training and support of students in our Better Futures Program. He previously volunteered as an English Teacher at JWOC, and is excited to join the team as a full-time staff member. He is currently in the last semester of his Bachelor’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Langugaes) at Pannasastra University of Cambodia.
Morn Mith
Scholarship Program Officer
Morn is responsible for implementing and ensuring the successful recruitment, training and support of students in our University Scholarship Program. He joined our team as he believes that it is important to keep learning to share his knowledge with others. Morn graduated with a degree in English Literature from the Cambodian University for Specialties in Siem Reap in 2016.
Reasey Rorn
English Instructor
Reasey graduated from the JWOC Scholarship Program in 2019, completing his Bachelor of Teaching English as a Foreign Language at the University of South East Asia in Siem Reap. He is now our full time English Language Instructor. As a JWOC Alumnus, he is excited to teach students enrolled in our Scholarship and Better Futures Programs.
Dara Chan
Computer Instructor
Dara is JWOC’s Computer Instructor and is excited to develop his skills in teaching at JWOC. He makes technology accessible to students enrolled in our Scholarship and Better Futures programs, helping them to learn typing, Microsoft Office, email and online research skills.
Thida Klouk
Cleaner
Thida has been working at JWOC since 2015. Her main responsibilities include keeping the JWOC space neat and tidy. She brings a variety of skills to the role, and has even helped us by making new curtains, filter covers and soap bags. Thida’s son and daughter also attend English classes at JWOC’s Youth Learning Center in addition to their studies at public school.
Sarann Kae
Morning Caretaker
Sarann joined the JWOC team in 2014, She is responsible for maintaining the safety of our students in the mornings and is often the first person you meet when you enter our Youth Learning Center.
Theara Nhom
Afternoon Caretaker
Theara has been a member of JWOC’s staff for 2 years. Often the last person to leave the office, he is responsible for maintaining our Learning Center and ensuring the safety of our students in the afternoons.
